Winter KCW: Swingset Skirt

My first completed Kid's Clothes Week project is an Oliver + S Swingset Skirt. (This pattern is now only available in the digital format, but if you are like me and prefer the printed version, you can likely find someone selling it on etsy, amazon, or in a local fabric shop.) This is my favorite skirt out the different pattern options I've tried. I made one last summer for Miss H, and it was her favorite too!

Even though her waist hasn't changed size and she can still wear last year's 2T, she has gained some height so I made the 3T this time. I had to use significantly less elastic length than was suggested, but it fits her well!

I used some Plum Architextures fabric that I got last summer with this skirt in mind, and some lavender shot cotton for the drawstring tie. I love that the shot cotton it is a little lighter weight, which made it easier to thread through the small space. I lined this skirt with some muslin I had hanging around. I already have a second one cut out for this week. It is such and easy sew!
