    1. I used the machines at Ben Franklin in Redmond. If you purchase your paper there, you can use the machines for free! They have hundreds of shapes to choose from and are super helpful. I know, that shop that went out of business was my favorite, still bummed.

  2. Finally got the page to reload! Last year for Valentine's Day I had Aiden help make Valentine's Day cards to people - he decorated and 'wrote' inside them and even assigned who they were going to be sent to. We'll likely do the same again this year. :)

  5. Yay - the glitch or whatever the issue was has resolved! I think all your tutorials are great! You should do them more often just in general - GREAT pictures for all of them.

  6. I thought of an improvement for the tutorials - since everyone is allowed an entry each time you post a new tutorial, you should be linking back to this post at the end of each tutorial so that it is easier to do that. :)

  7. My favorite Valentine's Day was when my hubby and I were dating. He took me to a fancy restaurant. He gave a box of chocolates. I don't like assorted chocolates; so, I planned to take it home to my family. He insisted I open it; he had put a ring in one of the little paper wrappers. Wow!

I later teased that he couldn't resist a chocolate; so, he had to replace it!

  8. My favorite Valentine's Day wasn't actually on V-Day, it was two days before on Feb. 12th. My then-boyfriend proposed to me on that date after dating long distance for four and a half years. He had to go back home on Valentine's Day, but it was wonderful to know it was the last Valentine's Day I'd spend alone because several months later, I became his wife. And over two years later, we've never spent a day apart. Such a blessing!

  9. This necklace is so adorable. I love that it represents new life growing and that the eggs are enclosed by the mother's love (the nest). It's perfect for wearing each day as a reminder of the bond we share with our children. I've seen them many times before but didn't really know how they were made. I have one beautiful child, and I'm hoping to work on having another child in a year or so. Nothing is as sweet as motherhood.

  10. Our little girl is still young, but we try to include her in everything we do, and Valentine's Day is no exception. We dress her up in adorable Valentine attire and take lots of cute photos. We take her out with us for a nice dinner. Valentine's Day is for romantic love, but what better way to celebrate that love than with the child our love created? I love Valentine's Day. :)

  12. This necklace is so pretty! Would love to win it! I think my favorite Valentine was last year when my boyfriend and I did a sample tasting through NYC, because we didn't have a ton of money to spend on an expensive dinner we went to about 3-4 different places and just had appetizers/desserts, a great way to taste some good food on a budget!

  18. My favorite Valentine's Day probably would have to be 2007 - it was just the two of us and we had a nice traditional flowers, dinner, and dessert out downtown. It was nice - since we were both so busy working ot take a break. :)

  21. I generally like valentines day, and i'm trying to remember my favorite... it might be last year. I made my small group cookies that said "I heart you" on them. One of the girls handmade me this really pretty card and wrote all kinds of really nice things in it. I still have it, in my top dresser drawer, and anytime I am having a rough spot with that kid i pull it out. :)
